In a discussion of the evolutionary process of writing his new single "With Love", Chris Rudel describes how the song arrived in its final form: "I revisited the song again and decided I wasn’t feeling the vibe of it in that particular incarnation. However, the opening lyric which begins the song completely a capella still resonated deeply: “nobody ever felt better putting themselves down”. Eventually I had this epiphany: lose the instrumental accompaniment altogether and instead focus on expanding the feel of the beginning of the song using only my voice. I wanted it to sound like a hymn."
