I wished the world would stop
And my wish came true
A temporary pause
To let my eyes believe the view
For a few moments more than usual

I tend to fly right through
Always felt like I missed it all
Always something to do
Every now and then I’d find
A little piece of peace of mind
Mostly I’d just run so fast
I’d run out of time

I made a wish
The wish came true
But not how I wanted it to
They say be careful
Wishes can be quite the handful
Even so we must stay thankful
